Comment
Welcome to the August edition of the DM eNewsletter, and I hope you won’t mind if I use this forum to once again promote the fact that nominations are open right now for this year’s DM Awards: see www.dmawards.com for full details. Nominations close on August 23rd, so time is fast running out if you want to make your voice heard at the biggest industry awards event in the country.
In the aftermath of the recent Tory party leadership contest, it would be easy to argue that individual votes don’t count for very much, or even that the voice of the majority is too easily overwhelmed by the voices of the powerful: in the case of the DM Awards we can assure you that this is most certainly not the case - every vote counts, and every year we are pleasantly surprised to see relative ‘minnows’ in the industry come away with some big prizes on the night. But as ever, it all depends on getting an entry in - you have be in it, as the ad campaign says, to win it!
