Welcome to the October edition of the Document Manager eNewsletter, which includes a thought-provoking piece from Hyland on the topic of hyperautomation. If some managers felt a bit nervous about automation, surely hyperautomation must have them trembling in their boots?
As Hyland's Tim Hood explains in the article: "The word 'automation' tends to ring alarm bells around the workplace because of fears over job security. Therefore, when planning any hyperautomation initiative, wise employers will make sure they don't sideline staff during the discovery, planning and implementation process. Your staff need to know how hyperautomation will impact them and the way they do their jobs, so early buy-in is key to a motivated workforce and efficient implementation."
Hyperautomation is one of those technologies that looks set to really deliver in terms of cost reduction and increased efficiency, benefiting a business and its customers. We need as an industry to work harder to help organisations past that initial nervousness about automation, and see it as a benefit not a threat to their livelihoods.
In closing I'd like to once again remind our readers to ensure they don't miss out on the chance to vote in the 2022 DM Awards - voting closes on November 4th, so this really is your last chance. Head to www.dmawards.com now!
