As the phrase ‘post-pandemic’ is now thankfully being used with increasing frequency we have several articles this month that look at the potential long-term ramifications of the pandemic for the way we do business. First, Adam Strange, a Data Classification Specialist at Titus, considers the implications of remote working for CISOs, Compliance and Data Governance Officers. Adam identifies the key technologies and processes that businesses will need to adopt in the wake of Covid-19, stating that “A reinforcement of corporate policies around data creation and linked protection facilities, such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technology, will be critical to facilitate large remote workforces, to reduce accidental failings and to ensure that data transfer is confined to authorised recipients only.”

The pandemic has acted as a catalyst for rapid digital transformation, and new research from The Workforce Institute at UKG has found that more than three quarters (76%) of employees have used at least one new technology or application during the crisis. However, as Alan Hayward, Sales & Marketing Manager at SEH Technology explains in his article this month “Many traditional network infrastructures were not created to support rapidly developing digital ecosystems, and can no longer provide the levels of security and control required.” It’s safe to say that we cannot let our guard down when it comes to all things Covid just yet...
