We’ve a busy issue of the newsletter this month ahead of our big networking event in October, the 2021 Network Computing Awards. If you haven’t done so already then be sure to visit the awards website by October 13th to cast your votes for the products, companies, solutions and services that you think have earned the accolades in the past twelve months. There’s also a little time left to submit a project for the Network Project of the Year judged category, the deadline for which is 23rd September. You’ll find more information on the website, along with details on how to attend the awards ceremony on October 21st.
Elsewhere this month we’ve something of a storage theme going on, with articles that cover best practice for backups and how to keep your data lakes from turning into data swamps, and a case study that details a collaboration between NTT Global Data Centers and Toshiba on a storage system that has been continuously running for four years without maintenance or unexpected downtime. We also have reviews of an invaluable Tone and Probe kit for installers and engineers and a simple solution to a major problem that plagues businesses and organisations of all sizes, namely email security.
