Welcome to the last edition of the Storage magazine eNewsletter for 2019, in what has been a strange and interesting year for the sector and indeed for the wider world. At the time of writing we are yet to know who will win the UK general election, and Brexit seems as intangible and distant a concept now as it has ever been.
We all know that the uncertainty around the nation’s politics has had a significant knock-on effect on industries far and wide, not least the IT sector, where projects that have been agreed upon years ago have been waiting in limbo for something - almost anything - to happen to break the gridlock around organisational spending.
We can only hope that, whatever happens in parliament, business begins to return to something approaching normality in 2020. Digital transformation promises huge benefits to all kinds of organisations and indeed end users and consumers, if only we can get on and start doing it with some enthusiasm and impetus. Here’s to a resurgent storage sector in the New Year, and happy holidays to all our readers.
